I've bet it all on the two, precious, little blastocysts I transferred. DH and I are hoping like hell that they develop and grow into healthy twins!
The double acupuncture treatments today were TERRIFIC! V.H. remembered to bring the eye pillow for me (my hero) as well as the meditation tapes. In all my travels along the IF journey, I've never felt as serene as I did today. Granted, I almost relieved my bladder while the RE was inserting the catheter, but hey, that's to be expected. Everything else went exactly as it needed to for a successful transfer. Although, TMI alert, I did have to use a bed pan - ewwwww! There was no way I'd be able to relax and "hold it" for the second acu-treatment, so pee in a pan, I did. I felt so bad for the nurse who took it away, but she wasn't even phased by it. In fact, she was so kind and comforting, I'm getting all teary thinking about her right now. I can honestly say that this cycle wasn't even unpleasant. The entire staff made it seem like a walk in the freaking park...in the summertime, with a nice, cool breeze. So anyway, I figure that, technically, I'm pregnant right now. I mean, I do have two dividing blasts floating around in my uterus, right? I really am hoping that they decide to stick around so I can experience pregnancy in all its glory. I know that I will make a great mother too. I also know that my RE's office more than upheld their part in this bet. I, too, have done all that I can to prepare my body both physically and mentally. And I believe that my body responded to the best of its ability. The meditation tape tells me that I need to "let go" now and let things happen. I think that sounds like a great plan.
Beta is a week from Wednesday. C'mon red!
I am so hopeful that this is going to be a great outcome for you. Things seem to be going beautifully. I can't wait for the results of your beta. Stick embies!! And go red!

Acupuncture is fantastic it's done wonders for my husband and getting his little soldiers back on the march! (I wrote it about it on my blog: http://thepitter-patter.blogspot.com/2009/04/every-sperm-is-sacred.html)

Wow, I wish I could say I'm that relaxed. I'm a mess right now! Guess what...our betas are the same day!! Does your acupuncturist work at the same clinic? I only had acupuncture afterwards because I didn't want to get up at the crack of dawn to have it before (my transfer was at 9:30 am and I needed time to drink my water). I do have an "implantation treatment" on Thursday though.

Thinking wonderful thoughts for you and your husband. BTW- great name and spelling. Do you know many "Erica's"? I don't.

Hi there, I am praying for you and for your little blasts. And I'm a nurse and can tell you that bedpan stuff is not biggie at all. I'm glad you had a good nurse. I'm going to look into meditation tapes and maybe acupuncture for my upcoming fertility treatment. Thanks!
