News Flash!

DH and I bought a house in the little town that we love. We make settlement on July 30th! I guess I need to start packing. We haven't put our house up for sale yet, but plan to August 1st - let the craziness begin...

On the pregnancy front, things are good - 16 weeks yesterday. I made an appointment this past Monday because I've been having lots of weird, kinda painful, kinda not, pulling and cramping in the whole ute area. Apparently this is what it feels like when your body is growing TWO babies. She said I'm going to feel lots of different sensations in that area, so get used to it. I don't know if I ever will though, not comfortably at least. I was able to listen to both heartbeats again and she said they were very strong. She commented on how differently they sounded - hmmmm...opposite sex? Total weight gain = 20 lbs. Oh my!

I don't have much else to really say today. Still reading blogs, just not much I need to get off my chest, ya know? Life has been really good and I'm just trying to take it all in. I guess you could say I'm "learning to accept" the positives right now. Hard task after so much pain, but I'm taking baby steps.

  1. Yeah on the house. So exciting. Good luck on the house sale as well.

Good news on the twins- it would be exciting if you have one of each. Cannot remember are you going to find out?

  2. Congrats on the house! That is awesome. not awesome about packing but it will be worth it.

I am about 6 weeks behind you and praying every day that both my little ones pull through. Very interesting about the pulling sensations. Do you have your 20w appointment scheduled? will you find out boys girls or one of each?
so happy that you are doing well....i don't think we will ever not worry, we have been through too much.

  3. Congratulations on the new house, and thanks for your comments on my blog...I feel better about the high risk doctor thing now.

We're also moving in about a month, it's not by choice, but I'm glad I'm not the only pregnant woman with twins moving! Thankfully my mom is coming to help me (she is the master packer) and I guess I just can't do much lifting, etc. (that will be hard for me because I like to be in CONTROL!)

I'm secretly wishing for one of each as well, but of course I'll be happy no matter what. Although two boys would be a handful!

So happy things are going well for you!!

anyway...we are going to use the same crib, but after like 10 months they need their own apparently! we're going to try the leachco crib divider...i'll let you know!

also...if you're moving to a bigger house, i think you'll be totally fine :) there were no rooms that i could really escape to, making the craziness inevitable!!!

    how are you feeling?

Great to hear the babies are doing well - I had lots of cramping / pains that drove me crazy with worry too. Guess like you said just focus on the positives.

  11. Congrats on the new house! How exciting. I hope that your current house sells fast so that you can get that stress of your mind and enjoy your new house and those babies in your belly:)

So glad that you were able to hear the babies heatbeats again. I don't think I will ever tire of hearing them.

I added you to my blog roll (finally!) so that I can track your progress better. I can't wait to follow your journey along with you:)

  13. Hi Errica-
I was talking to the u/s tech today and both of the babies placentas are posterior. She said that a lot of girls say that they can feel the babies kicks/movement a lot earlier if the the placenta is posterior, rather than anterior. Do you know which way yours are?

I can't feel the kicks that strong at all. They are like a little tap or nudge that I can't notice unless I am sitting still and they kick me. It feels kind of like a little tap or if you take your tongue and push lighly on the inside of your cheek (does that make sense?:))

I also feel a lot of "butterflies" in my belly. I remember when I was a child I would always get butterflies in my stomach when I was swinging too fast or on a roller coaster or when I got nervous. This is what I feel with these babies too.

I sure hope I am making sense:) It is hard to describe and I wish I could put it into better words for you.
